2010 - 2011 Series of Insurance Articles in Fire Protection Contractor Magazine

2008 – Proposed Changes to NFPA 25

n Accepted by NFPA leads to improved wording in several sections to further delineate the owner's responsibilities in maintaining systems, making prompt repairs and providing appropriate signage.
 

Relmark proposes changes to the national fire prevention Association

2007 – Fire Sprinkler Industry CPVC Summit

n Meeting with AFSA and NFSA contractors and CPVC manufacturers to identify CPVC issues needing industry solutions.

n Participating as the only non-manufacturer in CPVC manufacturers’ initiative to standardize instructions, improve training for sprinkler contractors, general contractors and property owners.
 

2006 – Integrated Underwriting, Claims and Loss Control as One Team

n Dedicated claims department working with loss control and underwriting to understand and prevent future losses.

Top Myers speaks at the integrated underwriting claims and loss control convention

2004 – Fire Sprinkler Industry Risk Management Summit

n Summit meeting with sprinkler manufacturers from AFSA and NFSA to discuss the need for Best Practices’ within the fire sprinkler industry.
 

2003 - Risk Management Training

n Provide training in Florida for required CE hours

n Seminars given for numerous AFSA, SFPE, FFSA, and NFSA members in local, national, and webinar forums.
 

2002 – Developed 24-hour cure time requirement for CPVC

n  While many insurance companies where declining or debiting contractors using CPVC, RelMark found the root cause of the problem and instituted 24-hour cure time on service work.
 

1998 – Proposed Changes to NFPA 25 that help protect the fire sprinkler contractor.

n Accepted by NFPA. Many improvements were made to the Owner’s Requirements within NFPA 25 to further define their responsibilities and protect the contractor.
